Overview:

Position:  Showroom Customer Service Representative

Pay Rate:  Based Upon Experience

Work Schedule:  P/T (2-3 days per week)*

*Requires some scheduling flexibility; evenings and weekends may be required on occasion for special events.

Showroom Hours:  9:30am-5:30pm M-F (We close early Fridays in the summer)

Job Summary:  This position will join the design team in assisting customers in our showroom and with completing all general showroom/office projects.

Job Description:

Floorology is a small Flooring & Tile Dealer located in Rothschild, WI.

We are seeking a professional Showroom Customer Service Representative to assist with residential and commercial flooring and tile finishing projects, as well as other general office projects.

This is an all hands on deck position, so the candidate will have access to all facets of the business. Duties include general administrative tasks such as answering phones, data entry, filing, customer service, estimating and any and all other duties deemed necessary by management staff.

This position requires an individual to interact with customers and assist them in making product choices according to their individual needs. Our objective is to always provide both design and flooring advice that will make the customer’s buying decision easier.

The ideal candidate must be able to divide his or her work time between the showroom floor as well as performing all necessary administrative tasks. It is expected that the individual be a self-starter, pro-active, personally well organized, a team player and willing to be an integral part of the company’s growth and success. The ideal candidate should be comfortable performing a variety of duties.

Successful candidate may have the opportunity to expand to full time or apply for Design Assistant or Design Consultant position.

Although not an all-inclusive list, the following are the essential duties and expectations for this position:

  • Represent Floorology as a local flooring and tile expert and Design professional within the residential, commercial, custom builder and design communities. Don’t worry, we’ll train you!

  • Assist with sales of flooring, tile & countertops

  • Keep up-to-date on the wide selection of industry trends and best practices, products & services we have to offer along with the benefits and warranties provided by each.

  • Need to have the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and pay very high attention to details and be able to work under pressure

  • Be highly motivated, fast learner with ability to work independently but also work as part of the team.

  • Go above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service

  • Needs to Demonstrate computer proficiency and strong data entry skills. Preferably at intermediate level - Advanced level - of computer expertise (including Google searches, Chrome, Google Drive, Microsoft Excel and Word)

  • Have leadership qualities and be proactive and responsive with all tasks - and needs to be willing to learn and take on responsibilities and pursue growth. Needs to be a positive contributing team member

  • Great work ethics - diligence, accuracy, positive attitude, work honestly and with integrity

  • Must have access to reliable transportation in order to get to work, and to visit customers’ homes or businesses

  • Must have strong knowledge of Google Drive, Google Apps, Microsoft Office programs and/or be willing to learn quickly

  • Retail sales experience is a plus, but not required

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Professionalism, to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality

  • Self-motivated and internally driven to excel in your position and career

  • Assist with all stages of the sales cycle, including , but not limited to:

  • Meet and greet showroom visitors while gaining a better understanding about their needs, consulting with them on the best solution given their ideas, lifestyle, needs and budget

  • Assess the project requirements and measurements by scheduling appointments and going on in-home measures

  • Assist Design Team with designing projects

  • Prepare project estimates per job requirements and customer selections

  • Assist Design Team with visiting customer’s homes or workplace to measure and provide product and design advice

  • Receive payment or obtain credit authorization

  • Place orders with flooring manufacturers as needed

  • Coordinate with Installation Manager to schedule flooring installations and ensure customers and install teams are install-ready

  • Communicate with internal teams and customers throughout the sales and installation process, maintaining accurate records through to project completion and close

  • Provide guidance to ensure each job is done right and every customer is thrilled with their experience

  • Serve as the project coordinator for jobs acquired from start to finish

  • Building client relationships

  • Collaborate, cooperate and work effectively with other employees

  • Executing sales strategies

  • Following up in a timely and professional manner with customers on all requests or concerns

  • Maintain showroom by keeping all areas neat, current, and clean

  • Provide guidance and information as needed

  • Follow up with customers to ensure they are informed about any specials and have what they need to make a decision

  • Handle incoming calls and emails

  • All other duties assigned
